LIVE SOUND REINFORCEMENT

You are here: home | sound reinforcement

A sound reinforcement system is an arrangement of microphones, electronic signal processors, amplifiers, and loudspeakers that makes live or pre-recorded sounds—usually music or speech— louder, or that distributes the sound to a larger or more distant audience.

(See this wiki page for sound reinforcement)

The picture above shows a somewhat large application at an outdoor venue. This system was easily able to accomodate over 750 guests featuring a live four-piece band. We also provided dance lighting for the venue.

Texas Pro Sound has sound reinforcement systems that can handle outdoor venues of up to 500 guests, and indoor systems that can easily accomodate 1,000 or more guests. These figures are approximate, and the size of the venue is dependent upon many other factors.

Pricing

Pricing for SR is based on the equipment used, the labor involved, the duration of the event, and the travel expenses for the event. Since every event is different, and we customize the sound experience for each venue, standard pricing is not available. Please contact us for a price estimate.

Our pricing model is not arbitrary. To come up with a price, we first design a custom sound setup depending on the venue, the number of guests, and the music/sound style. Once we have in mind what equipment to use, we start the pricing at 3% of the cost of the original equipment. We then add in labor at $25-50 per hour, depending on the man-power necessary to set up the gig. On top of that, we add in any expenses such as travel.

In brief, our pricing is the sum of three factors:
